بر روی این ماژول یک چهار دکمه قرار دارد که به وسیله ی آن ها میتوان صدا را کم و زیاد کرد،ترک پخش را عقب و جلو برد،حالت پخش را تغییر داد.بر روی این ماژول محلی برای اتصال یک میکروفون تعبیه شده است تا با اتصال یک میکروفون روی این ماژول فرامین صوتی را دریافت کرد.
از ویژگی های منحصر به فرد ماژول BT-201 دریافت فرامین صوتی از قبل تعیین شده برای این ماژول می باشد.چهار پین سریال بر روی این ماژول قرار دارد و با اتصال این چهار پایه به یک مبدل USB به TTL می توان دستورات مورد نظر را به این ماژول ارسال کرد.
این ماژول از دستورات AT COMMAND نیز پشتیبانی کرده و امکان ارسال دستور بدین روش نیز فراهم می باشد.
